I am interested in chemoprevention of breast cancer using natural products. I study the chemopreventive effect of auraptene, a citrus coumarin, found in oranges and grapefruits. I use MNU (N-methyl nitrosourea) – induced mammary carcinogenesis model, human breast cancer cell lines like MDA-MB-231 for my project. I am also part of the Breast Cancer Focus Group where we study the eIF4E pathway in human breast cancer samples.
